I was suprised how well mine intergrated. There was hardly any pecking.... i dont even need two feeders cause they get on pretty well. My Roosters feathers are getting darker which is good!

My cockerel is finally developing some tail feathers. I would have thought by 14 weeks there would have been long flowy ones by now but at least there is some coming through

They are looking very nice! I took pictures yesterday of the ones that I already have, but hubby has to upload them from the camera to the computer.

In the meantime... I just bought 3 more nice 4 month old Australorp pullets today (1 black, and 2 blues) from the Hupps Farm line from Chase to go with my other Australorps from Kurt of Rattlesnake Ridge. I haven't taken any pictures today of the new ones, because it keeps trying to rain. I am slowly building up that pen now!

More pics.... getting older. Is it normal for a blue rooster to get just a tad of brown on their saddle feathers? Will these turn black after moult?

The summer sun can discolor the feathers bringing, on a dull and slightly brown color.
