Australorp-male of female? 3.5 weeks

I'd love experienced opinions of the gender of the chick below. It's supposed to be a she and is going home with a family next week. Bought at feed store. Thanks for any help!

I would say with that comb growth it is a roo. I went back and looked at the pics of my BA hens at that age and they didn't have that large of combs yet.

oh dear. how certain should I be he's a roo--50%? 90%? We will have to find something else to do with him before he's old enough to crow due to limited housing, but I'd hate to lose a bird that's actually a pullet.

I would say 95% sure it is a roo. The females I had didn't get any kind of comb until about 8-weeks, then just a little one.

Oh dear. I've been wondering about my 3 BA chicks who are the same age. Two have combs like yours and one has a smaller comb. I'm afraid I have 3 roos on my hands! I was really hoping for at least one Australorp pullet! They're so pretty....
