Well, that's interesting about your Sumatra laying well. I've noticed that with others on the BYC forum as well. That some people's chickens perform better than their breed expectations in laying. My Pet Chicken's breed analysis said they were poor, 1xweek layers. You must have a chicken version of green thumb, maybe?

Did check my girl's feet; they're pink...whew....and single comb.

Well, when she started laying in the spring, she laid 14 eggs in 20 days. She then hatched them all. Would anyone like one??? Then as soon as they were big enough to care for themselves, she started again. Every 2 days at first then every other, maybe skipping a day once in awhile. Or hiding them..
