Australorp sexing

I started out with 4 australorps and 2 barred rocks. they were all supposed to be pullets but there was one in the group who was about half the size of the others all the way up to about 5-6 weeks. it was slower to grow than the others and slower to feather. then out of no where it trippled in size and was twice the size of the others and was crowing. so basically in my experience (as limited as it is) i agree with the others. the roos will typically grow slower and develope slower than the hens until they hit full maturity then you will have no doubts. i just got a new shipment of 10 Black Australorps in this morning and they were all supposed to be Pullets but i can see 2 that im gonna take a wild guess are roos. not complaining though because Black Asutralorp roos are gorgeous and gental plus they are good as gold at the local farm and chicken swap each week. everyone wants them and you can sell them for $30-$40 easily.
