Australorp - they used to be twins but now...

I can tell them apart by their distinctive tail feathers. Which has me wondering - Is my Sparkle a rooster? We just figured out that our Easter Egger is a rooster so if she/he is - that brings my eggs down to 4. Thoughts? Does she just have a pointy backside?

Thank you again guys - I know I just asked the same question with my Easter Egger, so much for the 5% chance of having a rooster!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was told I'd have a 3% chance of getting roos and I ended up with 4 out of less than 20. But I think both your australorps are ladies

Given how they determine male from female, I can see how there's lots of mistakes ! I'm glad they are both ladies, it's a relief because my Easter Egger wouldn't be thrilled. He's jittery as it is, competition would push him over the edge!
