If it is 9.5 weeks old like the first one, I would say that it's a cockerel. It would have been interesting to see the tail. Anyway you'll know in a couple of weeks.

Well, it's hard to say honestly..This one shows the tail but it's not a great photo. They free range so it's tricky sometimes.

Hi Eckielady - what were they? I have some australorps at that age who look very similar and I seem to change my mind every day! I'd love to know what yours were.One of my two australorps. Other one is a very obvious male. This one was my hopeful female. I'm starting to lose hope. What do you think? She/He is about 9.5 weeks.
