Anyone ever try keeping a flock of Australorp's with a Jersey Giant roo?
Australorp's are good egg layers and early maturing. Jersey's well they are giant's but slow to mature. So if you let you roo mature and get big then mate your Australorp's seems like might be a good way to get egg's and meat with a low turn around on the time line for meat. OBVIOUSLY not as fast as CX's but you can't make your own CX's.
Just wondering if anyone has tried this particular combination?
