Australorps Breeding for SOP and Exhibition Thread

I should be there as long as everyone's done moulting by then.
 
Here are some pics of just a few of our birds here at Hupp Farms. Our females are a bit on the rough side due to breeding so no pics.
This is Happy Jack, We bred Gary Rossman line chicks we bought to Urch line chicks we bought to produce this cockerel........Reserve Grand Champion Large Fowl, Best of Class, Best of Breed
We did line breeding with him and his mother (Rossman line) to lock in these traits that are SOP characteristics.


This is Buddy another cockerel we produced by the same breeding pens, From Rossman line male w/Urch female .....we bred him to all our Blue Australorp hens and new Hupp line Splash Aussies this year.

Tis is our first hatch using a Splash female with BA's instead of Splash Male, we hatched out the chicks then put them under her while being broody and it worked out perfect.

The RIR was just for fun, the other chicks we hatched are more along the lines of serious fun! 6 years in the making and still striving for quality and characteristics defined by the SOP.

I like the Splash and Congrats on getting them going.
