Australorps versus Orpingtons/English

All australorps and orpingtons are English class. I'm not sure what you mean by "true English".

Australorps are a smaller bred bird, more for production capacity. Orpingtons were more valued for meat capacity.
 
no issue with the BO breaking eggs when broody.good temperament.mine went broody twice this year(April and September).the only drawback i have is that even though the rooster is huge,he is so docile that the other roosters tend to pick on him when they are free ranged.that makes adult supervision required

yes orps are usaully low on the pecking order
