Australorps vs. Orpingtons

I have both too, and have found the BO,s to be a little friendlier but a lot noisier than the aussies. Although we did spend more time with the bo chicks than the aussies so I think that might have something to do with it. I do know that the 7 aussie girls are laying as many eggs as my 13 bo's so while I'll probable always have a couple bo,s around I,m leaning towards my laying flock being mostly aussies and rocks because they lay better and eat less.

I was under the impression, that a australorp and orpington was actually one in the same, seems I read that somewhere. I could be mistaken though

Australorp and Orpington definitely not same. They even have different names.
