Australorps, what, he/she ?

two recent pics, taken about three days ago.

first pic, is the younger of the two pics by a week. the second pic is the older one, by a week, haha. still no crowing. 16 weeks and up......

it's funny that people are saying girls as I get alot of people telling me these are fellas. What makes you say girls, and what's making everyone else say roos (beside the comb and wattle size?)

Roosters have pointed hackle or saddle feathers - your chickens don't. At 16 & 17 weeks of age, I'd think they would already be developing the pointed feathers if they were roos. Their tails don't look very rooish either.


This is my pullet at 15 weeks of age (1-2 weeks younger than yours) - terrible picture of her body, but you can see the size of her comb & wattles:

This is her at 23 weeks - I can't believe the size of her wattles. They're even bigger now at 25 weeks old - bigger than any of my other chickens (she's my only BA):

question.......at 16 weeks, would a Aussie roo, have signs of spurs?
