I was going to get two black ones and start by introducing them in a crate and then letting them all out in my yard before putting them in the coop together without the crate. Have you found it to be true that they lay between 16 and 18 weeks?

mine were very late bloomers laid around 24 weeks or 22

Mine laid at 19 and 20 weeks.
