hello
a different type of egg has apperead in my nest box im not sure if its one of my normal chickens or if its one of my younger ones can you plz tell me how much an australourp eggs weigh and can someone put on some pictures of their own australourps eggs

thankyou in advance

You can tell by size. (sorry I don't weigh mine) But pullet eggs start out small. So if it's considerably smaller than what you usually get, it's a new layer.

I just added 2 laying australorpes to my flock. I was told they just started laying but I don't know for how long.

Their eggs are normal size but the color is a little lighter brown than my golden comets. I can definitely tell which eggs are theirs because of that.

My Australorp started laying at 21 weeks old.
Here was her first egg...

My australorp lays small light brown eggs. Just like the one in the above post.

She is my most regular layer- about 6 eggs a week.. they are smaller than my other girls eggs, but 6/eggs a week as opposed to 4-5 from my EE's.
