Just wait till' he hits puberty ;) He's a hansom fella' though! I've got a brahma x jersey giant hen (Thank god :lau) who's a bit over four months old and she's the biggest chicken we have so far ;) Thats one of the things i love about mixes is that they always have a surprise to them. Lets hope your roo stays mellow and he turns out to be a lovely one~

Handsome guy!

You were asking about Speckled Sussex in the poll? I've raised a few of them in the past and loved them. I never saw any aggression with mine at all...if anything, they tended to be on the lower end of the pecking order. Sweet birds!

I currently have 3 hens very food aggressive and apparently very much enforcers of the peck order lol had roo was such a miserable fool he beat up all the hens and the current black austrolorp roo who as he got bigger defended the hens and drove the speckled Sussex into far end of enclosure. Was even allowed to eat we made him a yard bird but he started coming after us even when we had food for him. Skillet therapy was applied
