Auto sexing hens with Cuckoo maran Roo

Okay so I am planning on ordering these hatching eggs.
They are labeled as
Auto-sexing- Cream Legbar

I have one flock with a Cuckoo Maran Rooster and another with a Blue/black/Splash Easter Egger Rooster.
Would these Rooster allow auto sexing over this breed?

I know some stuff I read the Hen needs to be barred. So I'm trying to learn.

If I understand things correctly (and I may not!) The cuckoo rooster will NOT work with the cream legbar hens to create sex-link chicks. If I have things straight, cuckoo is barred, and a barred rooster won't create sex links. If your easter egger rooster counts as a solid colour, then in theory that rooster should create sex-linked chicks with the cream legbar hens, with male chicks being barred and females solid.

Barred breeds can have chicks that are mostly identifiable at hatch (I'm familiar with barred rocks as I've hatched a few batches) but I think this effect would be lost if cross breeding even if both parents are barred.

I was confusing myself too because I was thinking that the Legbar roosters are barred like the hen so then maybe it would still work with the Maran even though it's another breed.

Ahh ok, sex-linked isn't quite the same as autosexing, well at least its used in different contexts. I guess it's the same thing but I hear it used like this:
Autosexing = being able to tell between the sexes within the same breed i.e cream legbars, barred rocks.
Sex-links = a cross between two different breeds that results in chicks looking different at hatch i.e barred roosters and soild hens, or red hens and white roosters.

So does the sex-link actually work with the barred rooster over solid hens too? I always thought it had to be the solid Roo over the barred hen. Fascinating.

Oh sorry I meant that's what the chick sexes would look like not the parent stock, I see how that was confusing!

Barred roosters = 100% barred offspring. I've got a barred rock rooster and I can attest to this fact

I'm mostly breeding for the egg colors so I have a mixed flock but it sure would make my life easier to know the sex of the chicks. I had 2 last year I got attached to that ended up being roosters. I was so bummed.

I just realized I was a bit wrong when I said barred rooster make 100% barred offspring. A barred rooster from an autosexing breed where he has 2 barring genes always has barred offspring. His offspring with a solid hen would have only 1 barring gene, and if that offspring was bred he would produce 50% barred and 50% not barred chicks.

I also breed for egg colour (not my absolute top priority but it's near the top) and I feel your pain! I am contemplating getting a solid colour araucana rooster to have over barred rock hens so I would have sex linked babies. Right now I have araucana hens with the barred rooster. I just love barred rock roosters so much though.

This thread has kind of bounced around so I'll start back at the beginning.
You asked about autosexing. Usually when talking autosexing it's used to describe birds like the CCL. Most always these breeds are barred duckwing. The double dose of barring that the males have will dilute the duckwing pattern making them a lot lighter colored then the females.
You're not gonna get that out of your crossings. Some also call solid dark barred breeds autosexing because the double dose of barring on those males cause larger head spots on the male chicks. It's not always so black and white with those. Some lines are easier to sex then others and it's more like 80% accurate instead of 100%.
Your marans Xs CCL will result in offspring like this. You can try to judge the head spots to sex them. Females may have smaller to next to no spot and males will have larger.
I think you'll get a good idea of what's what but there maybe be some that will be kind of in the middle and hard to judge.
Your other cross will make sex links. Males should show a head spot and will be barred when they feather in. Females will not have a head spot and won't be barred.
You didn't mention exactly what color that male is. If he is splash that means blue offspring and that may make the head spot harder to see.
If he's blue you'll get some blue chicks and some black. Same issue goes for those blue chicks.
If he's black you should not get any blue chicks so those would be easier to sex.
