Hi everyone!
Was wondering what brand of automatic chicken door is being used out there with success? I bought one from Wistery last July and just another one in December not realizing it should have had a warranty. The first one quit working. Now the 2nd one starting the same thing. I’ve emailed the company with no response since December. Just emailed again yesterday.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I love our run chicken one! The design is a lot more sleek than most auto doors and installation and set up is simple. Our first one lasted about 3.5 years. Hardly ever had to change the batteries. Our run/coop are not elevated, though and I think too much mud got jammed into the motor eventually and caused it to quit working. Or it just wore out, not sure which.

We’re on our second one. For our second we went with the solar charging one. They’ve made updates to the design to “make it more raccoon proof”. Which is basically to hide the button to open it from the outside. With the newer version you set it to open/close when you want or with the sun. You can only manually open/close it with the app. I’m not crazy about that. The updated version also has a “no pinch” option to stop the door from closing on chickens. If you want it to drive through freezing conditions and open/close when the weather is icy and the door freezes, there is the option to turn off the no pinch feature. The older version automatically always has the no pinch feature on, with no option to disable it. I am overall impressed with the updated version, but I with they had at least put a button on the inside to open without the app. I think for that reason I’d go with the older version if possible.

Here is a link to it if you’d like to check it out:
