Does anyone have either of these? They both have good amazon reviews but the Cheeper Keeper has a lot more. They are ungodly expensive so they ought to be decent, ha. Most interested in reliability. Right now we have a regular pulley door so would need to work with that. TIA!

I don't have one but if I ever do would seriously think on the ADOR1. It's a great design with intelligent feature of last call and has a sprocket to open the door making it locked when shut not secured via gravity. Can be installed in the coop or out. Depending on design of coop can be installed vertical or horizontal. Again, the door is moved via a cog hence the ability to be horizontal. I've looked at a lot of auto doors and none really shinned by design excepting this one.

I've been using the Cheeper Keeper for over a year now, and although it isn't cheap, it is very reliable! Works of a photo cell and opens and closes with great regularity so the chickens are always in at closing ... one year going on the original set of AA batteries.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Cheeper keeper has LITERALLY been the WORST customer service experience of my life. Trying to get help from this company is impossible – I’ve been trying to get a part from them for the last EIGHT MONTHS. Every few months some person texts me and says they are sending the part – and then NOTHING. I’ve been patient and polite, but I’m absolutely shocked that any company could stay in business the way they have handled this. What is sad is I really liked the set-up, but if anything ever breaks down you are ON YOUR OWN with Cheeper Keeper.
