automatic door for coop

Does anyone know where I could find an automatic coop door? Or how I could build one?

I've been designing and currently have a prototype of an automatic chicken coop door, I should start selling them in the next month or two as soon as my circuit boards get finished, I will be looking to just get a few of them out there for testing purposes and will be selling the first few for my cost, send me an email and we can work out the details. Like the website - I'd be interested too - I'll be completing my new coop this week & have started looking for an automatic pop door.

The $250 ones are just crazy - I've even started looking into linear actuators to build my own.

Buy the motor from Add-a-motor, build a track for the door, add a timer, and you are done. $110.

I guess I'm cheap or something. $100 or more just seems like alot for a door.

Yes, I will have pictures soon, my auto chicken doors will be selling for $80-100 for the complete kit and can automatically open via a light sensor, timer or manually at morning or night or a combination of either. It's powered off of AA batteries, solar or 120V power. I've been trying not to say too much until I had a design that worked perfectly and the one on my coop has been going for 6 months now and have not had any issues with it after working out the early bugs. I have the circuit boards being built right now, plus it's all Made In The USA!. I will do a more complete post soon.

The other manufacturers start at $175+ and others are imported in. I'm also going to have a lifetime warranty with mine, since I've designed it from the ground up it will be rock solid.
