automatic door timer

need some help here...i have installed the add-a-motor d20 door, it works great but my issue stands with the timer..... i have a power source so I needed a 110/volt ac timer, off to home depot and bought a timer hooked it up and worked well for a few days but has been randomly resetting causing the door to open or lower at bad times........so first ting i need is find a dependable 110/volt timer....also does anyone know how you would hook up this motor to a 12volt system......it says you can but the unit came with a plug.......thanks?

You may have to do a little cutting and soldering. The D20 motor is 12v and uses a wall-wart transformer. You can cut the output from that and it'll be 12v.

For a 110v timer make sure it's rated for appliances and does not include any dimming/speed control.
