Automatic Door Trouble

My husband just installed an automatic pop hole door using an antenna. It works fine, but Melina, our "special" silky bantam, doesn't perch with the other chickens. She perches right in the pop hole doorway! I have to go out every night and shoo her inside when the door is about to close. I am afraid it will close on her, and she is so little, and the door is made of thick plywood! Anyone have any advice?

Does it have a safety on it? I would hate to see her mushed.

Is there something that you place on the threshold to make it uncomforatble to perch there? Or maybe slant it?

maybe put an angle cut board in the doorway? Make it uncomfortable perch there.
OR attache the door to a string to the antenna. So it's just the weight of the door on her and not the mechanical force + the door.
How fast does the antenna doorway close?
