Automatic Fount

I just got a
Automatic water Fount how high should it be off the ground I'm hooking it up to a 55gal plastic barrel

I would place it on the ground and not have the rim higher than 4 or 5 inches.
Only with water nipples do you place higher. The vertical ones higher than the horizontal type. Also good to have a few at different heights. (water nipples)
