I want to buy an automatic door for my hen house. I have looked over lots of them. I’d like to know which ones are used the most with the best results. I need some input. Thanks Ann

I love the name of the product!I have a "Ladies First" door on my coop . I've only had it on the coop for about a month , it opens and closes via a light sensor , no timer to set , daylight and dark are what triggers the mechanism . It is a screw drive , it will not crush a chicken if by chance one is in the doorway when it is closing , it has a built in safety that will stop the door . It is battery powered with a solar charger for the batteries . It has worked perfectly since I installed it but like I said its only been a month . I do like it .

In my research I found your options depend on the style of your door. I have only two 12 week old slw so my coop is small & the pop door opens & closes horizontally with very little space for extra mechanisms.I want to buy an automatic door for my hen house. Thank you!! What a nice line of chicken products. I’d never heard of that company. I will definite check out their doorsI have had an Omlet automatic door for almost a month now. It opens side to side and fits wooden coops, fence grills as well as their Omlet products. It is light sensitive but also has a clock mode as well. It works so well that I’m waiting for another offer so I can buy a second one to add to the enclosed walk in run. Then I won’t have to get up as early to let them out of the enclosed run into the electrically protected run!
Link to Omlet door. They have a good video for treccy fans. https://www.omlet.co.uk/shop/chicken_keeping/automatic_chicken_coop_door_opener/
