I made a whizbang plucker last year, processed 50 birds so far and rented it to about 10 people. Everyone that has used it has stated they would never go back to plucking by hand again. I did 50 birds with 1 helper in 2 1/2- 3 hrs. Even I was surprised at how clean the birds were. The scald is the most important thing. I use a turkey fryer with a metal garbage can on it and a long stem thermomiter. 150 deg for about 1 min.
