It stopped working again, wonder if the chickens perching on them is causing it to not cut off when filled.

Aren't there some sort of baskets that fit over that style of waterer that keep the birds from roosting on them?

Worse comes to worst and you have to try a new style waterer, a plasson bell waterer would fit your set up well with out alot of fiddling. like this: https://www.qcsupply.com/422210-plasson-broiler-drinker.html

the bell shape keeps them from being able to stay on it. it uses a similar weight valve mechanism to control the flow.

They are actually roosting on the pex pipe... crazy chickens.

maybe just run a 2x4 or 2x2 across between the two pieces of wood that you have the waterers hanging off of, and then connect the pex to the bottom of that board? then they could roost up there without messing with your water lines. 2x4 would probably be better so it wouldn't bend as much. I don't know. just a thought.
