Automatic waterer

Hello all,

I am looking into automatic watering systems that can use a garden hose. Do you have any preferences?

I live in Az so I want to make sure the girls have extra water.

I'm pretty new at this, but most of what I've seen is DIY. Is that what you are asking, or a commercially made system? There are many variations to the DIY solution, using a toilet float valve in a 5 gallon bucket or similar container, connected to a hose.

I run a tube from a nearby drip irrigation system into a 5 gal bucket, also has an overflow. It runs x minutes a day at a given flow rate so its easy to calculate the add amount.
