Just a bit overwhelmed with all the reviews online about automatic coop doors. Coop tender was my first choice until I started reading reviews. I now am thinking I will automate any automatic coop for with a wifi controlled switch. We do not live where it gets very cold so that is not a problem but it is very humid. I would just like to hear some feedback on automatic doors that you just love. Thanks

Greetings from Kansas, tjohnston, and :welcome! Pleased you joined our community! I'm ultra low-tech when it comes to automated doors on the coop. I still make the dawn to dusk trek and do it manually. You might post your inquiry in the link below...the folks there will likely have some advice. Best wishes and thanks for joining BYC! :cd

Hi and welcome to BYC. I live on the equator, so no silly early morning, or late nights dusk or dawn issues = a 30 second walk to the coops. I'm sure you will get some feedback on the link given by redsoxs.

Best wishes

Welcome!

Sorry, I have no experience with automatic coop doors as we live in a low predator risk area with a secure run so no door on the coop and they come and go as they please.

However, I did just want to say that I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
