This morning I was feeding my younger chooks and my Standard Dark Cornish Hen Autumn squatted when I walked by her, then when I tryed to pick her up she was still squatting but then she started trying to "Run" away from me!
She ended up dragging her rear in the dirt - but she wouldn't stop squatting, even when I picked her up she was still in the "Squatting Trance" - so is she close to laying?
Pictures -
Autumn
What am I fix'in to do?
Face Shots -
Autumn looking into the lower-level nests
Pacing back and forth on the nesting boxes roost ....
One Eyed "Stink Eye"
Looking into the nests ...
Pretty Autumn
Her BeUtIfUl neck feathers -
Autumn is angry at me ...
Face Shot - - - >
Still pacing the roosts ...
And just for the record, I thought I'd throw in a picture of Sparrow, my Bantam Dark Cornish Hen that is about 4-5 years old.
So is she about to lay?
