Can you tell me what my avatar rooster and hen are? I was told the rooster was a welsummer but after looking at all the welsummer's I'm not so sure? I also am curious of the hen that is with him? I will post a rooster that I hatched from definitely this rooster but not sure of which hen, I think this one because they were always together; but I did have other hens that were fertilized with this rooster that I hatched. This rooster has a rose comb, I think is what it's called. I will post pictures later too.

Your hen is a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (left) and your rooster is Crele colored something (right) with a rose comb, yep.

I'd see if you can't get a closer picture and then we'll get his breed for sure.

Thanks, I only have one more pic that should be pretty identifiable. He is in rooster heaven. After he died I collected his eggs with the hens and hatched one son with 10 hens! He was a busy rooster! I will get a pic of his son later let me see if I can attach this better pic. What about that red hen in the background directly behind him.

ok here is some more that I am not sure of. The first one was supposed to be a barred rock, that is what I bought her as as you see her siblings are in the pictures too; but she is totally black and when sun is shining on her she is greenish. Can anyone help me.. The rooster is my avatar's son. Welsummer? yes or no? I thought yes until his comb seems to be different than all Welsummer's. The third picture is of the first one just at a different angle. Can anyone help me please. If the black one isn't a barred rock, I'm ok with it we love her just the same. We call her eagle because she has a white spot on the other side of her wing.

the black one might be just a jersey giant with a color problem ,the roo looks to be partridge wyandotte.

ok thanks, and when you say color problem? like a mutation? Is she show worthy or no?

thank you so much for the clarification of "rooster" Would he be show worthy? We think he and the black one are just beautiful. I like animals that look different and not the same ole same ole haahha.

ho im afraid not but see when the breed was started they started with black ones but they came up with a white one by using black ones that had been born pure white.
