Avatar not changing?

My avatar won't change! When I try to change it the old one just gets shorter. Of course,as soon as I post this it will change.

Press and hold the "ctrl" button and hit F5 and see if that does it.

What is it supposed to be? Is the avatar you are uploading the right size? Are you getting an error message?

A silkie. No,it just makes my old one all weird. It is the right size.
