August 30th! A week from now!Yay! Go wasp! When is the due date?
C’mon Goliath!I will be candling again on Monday. That will be day 17. It will be my last candling before the eggs go on lockdown the next day! I can't believe it is already so close!!!
Lockdown is when the eggs stop rolling, so they are locked in position, and you usually keep the incubator closed.Super excited!! Go Drax go!!
Also what does lockdown mean and why is it needed?![]()
Got it! Thank youLockdown is when the eggs stop rolling, so they are locked in position, and you usually keep the incubator closed.
This is needed so the rolling doesn't ruin their chance if hatching by knocking them around or putting them in a position where they can't zip. And when you keep the incunator shut, it decreases the chance of shrink wrapping.
I usually open the incubator when they start hatching to grab out chicks as the incubator starts to become full.
