Average Mating Age of Silkies??

Hello, I have silkie roosters that are 13 weeks old. I was wondering about at what age do they start mating?

Mine just turned 22wks old the beginning of Dec and just started mating. Other people might have some who mate earlier or later though, so,

You're so welcome! I believe as a general rule, about the time the hens are going to lay is when you'll start to see mating. So, any time around 5 mos of age on. FYI -we noticed mating about a month before our hens started laying.

Mine is also 22 weeks and just started mating...and has gotten entirely nasty. He used to be my sweetest. I can't even pick him up anymore.

Oh I hope he does not get nasty! He sits with my kids all the time. VERY sweet! Lets hope he stays that way
