Average % of Eggs that Hatch???

I'm new at using an incubator and will be ordering my eggs online. What is the % of eggs I can expect to have hatch out. Thanks.

since reading, i've heard of everything from 0% to 100% hatch rates... i had a horrible first hatch of 18.33% hatch rate with my own hens eggs... but it was my homebuilt bator's fault... it fell apart... HAHAHA...


but don't be discouraged if only a couple pip and hatch...

yep any where from 0 to 100% just depends on how hard the shipping was on the eggs and many other factors.

Never no how it will go but if you hatch shipped eggs week after week they say its ends up about 50%.

Unless you invested in a high end self regulating incubator I suggest that you get some very inexpensive eggs to learn on. It takes a couple of batches to get good at it... then o for the eggs you really want, buy them as close to home as you can. My own eggs hatched here... high 90th percentile even in foam incubators... shipped eggs 75% but I am pretty selective about who I buy from since I am usually custom hatching for local folks who want certain breeds that I do not raise.

Most dismal hatch ever 0 of 80 eggs. Temp spike to 105 at day 8. What was not killed by that was lost in the 30 hour power outtage at day 18.
