Average price of goatsmilk?

I was debating on weather to start milking my goat at the end of this month (when her babies come off her) and at those prices I think I will try it. No idea how much it goes for around here but I'll guess I'll learn...

I have a friend that has goats....and no chickens....I have chickens, no goats! So...we trade a dozen for a quart. I like the barter system, it works for me! So I guess...$8.00/gal ??

I'm surprised at how much the price varies. I'm guessing those with lower prices are more of a farming community? How much do you usually get from a goat per day and per year?

I am on a dairy forum and price often comes up. You would be surprised how prices can change from one county to the next. Just like egg prices can range from $2.00 - $6.00 per dozen in the same state.
