Hi everyone, Hope your chickies are all doing good!
I was having some issues with some of my 3 month old Cochin Bantam chicks not acting quite right, I won't go into detail again cuz it was in a previous post that was sent but wanted to try and get a couple things to maybe help out things that were not obvious.
First I got them the Avian Charge 2000, just started them on that today, have any of you used it and did it seem to help your birds? They started to drink some right away

I also got them some DE to take dust baths in, case of tiny insects bothering them that I cannot see. Does it matter if they should eat some of it, some of them were eating some of it, that won't bother them at all will it?

Thanks!

If it is food grade de it won't bother them at all. I actually feed it to my birds as a mix-in, in their feed. Great health benefits for them. As far as the avian charge, no idea-have never tried it. I only use the organic apple cider vinegar. Good luck!

hi i too have Bantam cochins, and about 35 and 2 new ones that are 2months old . i gave them a little sugar water for the first 3 days after the I put for all of my flock a tablespoon apple cider vinegar in to their water, and the babys are on chx starter Dumor. also and all the rest are on Purina layena.
DE is wonderful for them and they will love to dust bathe in it
as long as it is food grade.
I have not seen your other post .

Thanks alot, I posted it in Diseases, emergencies but I can't find it now. I had explained why I was concerned about my chicks. They are about the same so I am hoping these things I have done will make a difference, I also put them back on chick starter for the extra protein, cuz I had switched to grower a week or 2 ago.
