Does this flew pass on in the egg?
What are the chances of getting infected day old chicks.
Does it matter what part the country the chicks come from assuming you can find them.

Unsure if there's a vertical risk, but I do know it's passed via wild birds... That's why it's so hard to control.

I would not order chicks or buy birds from an area hit with the flu (maybe even if the delivery path cuts through an infected area). The risk is too great, and you can always order chicks once the threat passes.

With that said, do what you think is best for your flock.
