Avian Influenza east coast

Interesting. The only flaw I see in this is that, bird are dying of the flu. Its not like birds aren't dying without being culled. To report the cases in the first place, the farm has to see deaths in the flock, caused by the flu. I can see how culling etc might be a slight control factor, but I still don't think that poultry can't die, or wont die, or its fake.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree, no doubt there is some natural death and I would not think the entire thing is fake, though it could certainly be exaggerated. I wouldn't have any idea about how much is necessary or unnecessary culling, and would love more details. Whatever it is, we know the saying of those in charge, "never let a good crisis go to waste".

I agree that officials are may be using it to get a bit of control over the industry, and over culling birds to do this.

Agree. I think it is real, but they are taking full advantage…trying to get everyone dependent on “the man.” It is extremely difficult to attempt to maintain a food/water supply without being reliant on a system of some sort. I read an article a while back about some town that sued a resident because they set up a water system where they could catch rain water on their property and use it. I truly don’t understand how that can be illegal…🙄

I agree - it's so hard! I remember that case - I think that was possibly Colorado. The over-reach is unbelievable.

If the reinforced vinyl tarps are too expensive, then use inexpensive polyethylene sheet (Visqueen or something like that). At the corners and along the sides where the tarp would have a gromet, bunch a small rock up in the poly sheet and tie a line off around it.... like a sachet or something. Then use the line to tie the plastic sheet down tight. It looks ghetto and won't last for long, but the HPAI won't last long either.
It's called "Duraskrim". It's reinforced plastic sheeting made for construction projects in Winter regions.
