Avian influenza found in South Carolina

That was a few days ago and it's still not reflected on the aphis website. Troubling.
yeah looks like they haven’t updated the domestic or wild lists since the 10th. kind of annoying when they lag behind, i keep getting a little excited until i see the stream of retroactive additions when they update a few days later.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL) in Ames, Iowa has confirmed the detection of avian influenza in three nestling neotropical cormorants found by Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) personnel responding to a report of dead birds in Eldorado Park in Scottsdale.

Fortunately for us our temps aren’t conducive to the virus living very long outside a host. Too hot right now.

Yes! It's been extremely hot here too. The last couple weeks I've been thinking, "Die you bad virus bug, Die!!!" 👿
