avian pox?

my huband found black and white spots on the heads of our chickens and rooster could this be avian pox or a form what do i do can i vaccinate will they die?

As far as vaccination goes, if they are showing signs of the pox then it will not do anygood. Only vaccinate the one's that are not infected. There is no cure it just has to run it's course and the chance's of them dieing are very slim!! GOODLUCK!

Ours had it a few months ago when the storms kept rolling through fl. They all got it and all came through it with no problems. It just looks like they have scabs on there heads and some of the worst ones just got moppy fora few days. Then it started to go away after a few weeks.

That is when mine got it to. But I think we are starting to look up a little now. Some still look a little rough.
