my 6 momth old rhode island red/white leghorn mix has avian pox. does anyone know what I should do....treatments/preventions?

My Friend just lost a Rooster to what was thought to be fowl pox... we still are not sure.....

I will post the remedy I found.... we never got a chance to try it. Please do not be discouraged. The Bantam Roo that passed away was purchased sick from the Conroe Chicken Show early Oct. We are all new to the chicken stuff so we did not think much of the little bit of brown snotty stuff on his beak.

As far as I understand it.... you should get some of those infant vitamins called Poly something... and add it to a mixture of yogurt and chicken food... I will post the link for you...... let me see if I can find it...

I pray for your flock... and I hope that you have caught it early. Fowl Pox is rarely deadly so the roo that died may have had something else.
