avice please asap, before i make a huge mistake

hi i now it is hard waiting but if i have questions about the eggs hatching some times i do a late canddling and if you see movement in the air cell its sitll alive but if no move ment i will mark them and on day 24-25 i will ditch them to keep them from exploding

another thing i have have read and tried is when i started out if i culled an egg out for any reason i take them out side and crack them open just to see if i was right its a good way to learn and if you were going to toss them anyway what have you lost

i hope this has helped you

From the time they crack the shell (pip), it can take anywhere from a few hours to a day or more for them to fully emerge from the shell. It is best to leave the incubator undisturbed during this time, so not to change temperature or humidity. This remaining stable is important during hatching. Also, the chick is still absorbing the yolk and learning to use its reflexes to as it breaks its way around the shell. If they started pipping late, then I would guess your temp was too low during incubation. They could still hatch just fine on their own. Patience is so difficult during this time. Good luck. I hope more hatch for you.

You can place the eggs against your ear and listen for pecking or movement. Try candling? At about 3-4 days past due day I start cracking. I make a tiny hole at the end of the egg with the air cell (large end). Peek inside and check for life. I always want to know at which stage my chicks expired. Good luck.
