Avocado , is this ok for birds?

I know they say no for small caged house birds, but what about chickens ? Not the peels or seed, just the meat of the avocado ? Anyone done this ? I have several soft and was wondering who here have given it to there chicks

No, apparently it's poisonous to chickens as well. Mind you that's only what I've read.
