Avocado trees near chickens?

We recently got 8 hens and built a coop. We built a fence as well to give them some space to free range. We have 2 avocado trees in the run. Has anyone had any issues with their chickens being near avocado trees? So your chickens avoid them? We don't intentionally feed them avocados but wondering if we need to modify our fence.

Chickens shouldn't eat avocados, it's not good for them. Other than that I think the chickens would be fine, just make sure they don't eat the avocados.

Welcome to BYC. I would modify the fence. If mine had a chance to eat them, they probably would. I wish I could grow avocados here. Lucky you!

Chickens will eat anything they see so personally I would modify the fence just in case. Avocado is a no go
