Avocado

Hah! Well they aren't technically mine I guess. I just rent this place, but I think pretty much everyone out here has avocado trees. We do love them though, I would never let the chicks have one consciously, just because we eat them all!!

My girls have eaten them for years ( I won't tell them that the avocados and oranges that they love are bad for them.) The only bad that I have found from feeding them avocados is that I have less for myself.

I miss my trees.
My dogs would eat them and had the nicest coats.
I've always read they were toxic to birds, but you couldn't have convenced my after all the ones who pecked at them.

Then there was the squirrel who would sit up in the tree and toss pieces at the dogs while he ate one.
