Thanks, his name is Coffee Bean. He is blind in his right eye but the sweetest chicken ever. We have to give him his food in a pile on the ground and show him where it's at so he can find it in the morning.

Well Coffee Bean is adorable! I have a little dog that is pretty much blind (bad breeding) and only has a few teeth left but he truly has my heart. I love him to bits. I have to help him find his food too, and keep the other dogs from eating it all before he can get any but I wouldn't trade him for anything.

ChickenBoy, it sounds like you have a busy happy life too. And oh my gosh look at how many posts you have! Wow that's a lot. Thanks for sharing your interests too! My grandfather was an Alaska Native Indian and he also fished and trapped his whole life. Sadly that knowledge was not passed onto his grandchildren so none of us know how to do any of that.

We trap the raccoons and foxes that try to get our chicken. We just caught a raccoon the other day using a chicken egg and limbs made to look like a nest.

That's a smart way to catch a raccoon. I would have never thought of that. We have a few of them around here but so far they have not been able to break into 'ChickenKnox' as my husband calls it. Crosses fingers.

We have way to many coons here.

I think we have caught 5 of them this year. It's like they just keep coming.
