:I think I will do that for my grower pen, I have some hyper little marans who are very heavy feeders, those little buggers love to eat but they knock the plastic feeder over all the time.
I put it on a stone paver to help keep the shavings out ,
but they still get shavings in it and then they knock it over daily.

I made one with PVC pipe but the feed doesn't go down. I always have to shake it to make it go down so I am bummed about my plan. I think I will try your plan and see if I can make something work as well as you have!

Cool try it. I have made 3 pvc ones so far and this one works the best! Hopefully it works for you!
