Update:
Chicks and Dad are doing well. Chicks are unable to go through the mesh wire now but can still go under the base board into the pheasants pen.

They look good and healthy 😍 not that I know anything about them 🤷 I'm still learning about chickens!
Thanks Sue. The 2 that are surviving are very strong and healthy! :celebrate
 
So this answer is a huge question for me about quail because a lot of people say that they will not hatch their own chicks... thanks for sharing
It depends on the type of quail. Coturnix quail are the least likely to hatch their own chicks.
