Aww, first time out of coop!

It last for about five minutes. What had happened was . . . I had this genius idea to let em walk about with me out there with them. My plan was to be raking stuff away from the bottom of fence in prep for electrifying it.

Well, before I knew it the bieles scampered underneath, ughhh.

I think most didn't realize they could go out. Soo, I got them all back in with food, of course.

Congrats on getting everyone back where they belong. Some seem mighty interested in that rake.

"Genius Ideas" often turn out differently than we expect. I got a couple of young runner duck hens a few years back from my breeder to help balance my flock ratio.

The first time I let the youngsters loose, I expected they would hang out with the rest of the flock. Next thing I knew, I was watching $30 worth of runner girls disappearing from view, heading toward the old barn and a lot of open (dangerous) ground.

As with you, all ended well. But, I had a few heart-stopping moments.
