Hi everyone I have a few Cemanis that I’ve purchased in the past few months. Both have black toe nails and tongues. I’ve noticed though as my rooster develops his ears are turning a bluish and his waddle a cranberry and I’m nervous he may not be breeding quality. Please share with me your thoughts and any experience you have with this breed.

Thank you!

I've read (I think somewhere on here) that keeping a rooster with the hens can turn the combs more mulberry colored. I had a rooster that showed more like that as he aged. Ears also turned more of a mulberry tint. Never took him away from hens to see if it would go away though. His tongue was also more of a grey color as well. I'd say if you wanted to start breeding them you have a good start being you have all black toes and solid black tongues.
