Ayam Cemani Meat!

I bet they taste like chicken, lol.
I've never tried cemani's though I have seen some cockerels for free on Craigslist.
I have tried silkies , TSC 'silkies', they were quite large and I suspect crossed at some point with leghorns? maybe? The roosters were 5lbs. The skin was black, neck, legs and wings were black straight through, the breast more a pasty grey. Organs were black.
Some people say the fibro meat is sweeter, I really didn't notice.
I always thought maybe I should order about a hundred of them and serve up some black hot wings for a Halloween party lol

Nope, the best meat you can find come from the Bresse and the Plymouth Rock. Ayam Cemani meat looks terrible as well

Best meat, #1 meat breed according to what Greenfire farms uses when selling Breese and Barbezieux, competition of 20 meat breeds by the French food guide, Gault Millau, naked neck turkens were #1 ;)
Of course they have no need to mention that though beings they don't sell them and about every hatchery does. A lot out there, old writings on chickens mention Dorkings being the best for meat. And then others, ...
But like chickendreams said, "The best meat is a very subjective concept"
I've had some fibro, slightly fibro anyway, naked necks that were crossed with Jersey giant/silkie crosses, tasted like chicken :drool

If I eat Fibro breast meat is it going to taste like white meat or is it going to taste more like dark meat?

I received Feed store Silkies in an assortment this year, 2 of them. One with and one without leg feathers (odd huh?) They grew big and fast, even larger than the Large Fowl hatched the same day. the Large Fowl are just now (hatched late april) their size and should soon be a bit larger. I can see why they are a meat bird.
