I picked up two Ayam Cemanis (hatched in November) today. They are both very similar, but the questionable one has a very slightly larger comb. Any thoughts on whether it’s a pullet or cockerel? Thanks!

The one in the pictures is a cockerel according to saddle feathers which don't lie in most breeds, once they are coming in usually around 12 weeks... Hopefully the other one is sporting a pullet saddle! :fl

Hey if they arent related you could breed them!
Breeding related chickens is not quite the same as some other animals like mammals.. in that you can breed them for several generations before complications pop up usually. This is how most pure breeds of ANY domestic animal is created.

Many breeders do breed related birds... using methods such as "line breeding" or "spiral breeding". Depending on how many birds the seller had they might even be only half siblings. If breeding them is desired, try it!

Is the other one also a cockerel, just later blooming??
